How to Register for Food Product in Indonesia ?
To register Food Product, Applicant must complete terms/criterias which are specified and also fill registration form which is available at Directorate of Evaluation for Safety Food Deputy Control Section for Safety Food and Dangerous Substances.

In July 2000, the Indonesia government started to achieve the Consumer Protection Law of 1999 by needing enrollment of transported in sustenance items. Food registration in Indonesia​

Importers must apply for a ML registration number from BPOM. This registration number needs to be extended every 5 years. All imported food products must be tested by BPOM. To register the food, the applicant must submit an application for registration to the Director General of the Food and Drug Dep. in 3 (three) copies.

In order to complete the application the following docs need to be in order.
  1. Copy of Letter of Appointment by the producer in country of origin
  2. Health Certificate (Legilized by the Local Health Min. in the country of origin) + radiation free Certificate
  3. Laboratory Test Results​
  4. 10 Colored Labels + info  in the Indonesian language​
  5. Sample a minimum of 3 pcs​
  6. Composition and Specification food and packaging details​
  7. Copy of Business License & Local Trade license in Indonesia​
  8. Proof of registered brand ownership​
  9. Description of the Production flow from raw material to the processed end product
  10. The quality control system of the producer in the country of origin.​
  11. Certificate of Analysis of the end product; accrediated by a acknowledged independent surveyor;​
  12. In case the analysis is examined by the laboratory itself, the analytical methods and procedures  need to be attached.
